Les jours des magasins!

On Friday and today we set up shops in our classroom to practice and apply some of our learning in social studies and math. In social studies we are learning about the different zones in our community (including la zone commerciale) while in math we have been adding and subtracting sums of money and learning about money value. Our students loved learning through play and took a lot of responsibility in their learning. They set up their stores, decided on prices and successfully carried out transactions. Even though some of the play cash registers had calculators, our students used their brains and had to show me their work! We had so much fun! Thank you to parents for allowing your children to bring in props!
