As part of a Etudes sociales activity, we worked together to complete a Canada puzzle. It was covered in Canadian symbols, animals, food and sports that vary from province to province. We had a great discussion about what the students noticed on the puzzle/map and why they thought those images were there. We shared some of our personal experiences such as eating lobster or playing hockey.
