La périmètre

Yesterday we took math outside and measured the périmètre of a fort our students built during recess. Some of our students went on to measure the basketball court which was quite an endeavour!

Projets de Google Earth

Recently, our class has been learning about cities around Canada using Google Earth on the iPads. They investigated the location, population, entertainment, employment, industries and what food was accessible. In their small groups, they presented this information and spoke to the pictures they collected on the Smartboard in addition to their chart paper notes and drawings. Today was our final day of presentations and it was followed by a Promenade de galerie where students were able to reflect on their work and comment on the work of their peers. Bravo les amis!!

Here are some of the girls using a metre wheel to measure the length of the hallway. We are trying to make close estimations before we measure but this one sure was tricky!
